Don’t Be Complacent…
Dear Friends,

As we look at the nightly news (when we can stomach it) or go to church and witness men and women, boys and girls wanting to know what they can get out of the service and not asking, “God would you transform me into your image for your glory?  We ask what is going on?  Could it be that we have allowed the busyness of life and the cares of the world to put us into a state of complacency and self centered interest???

Friends, I think like never before the individual believer along with the church of Jesus Christ as a whole must start “stepping up”to be the the change agents in our land Christ has called us to be as well as He deserves us to be!

I was reading in Revelation 3 starting in Vs 7-13 about the Church in Philadelphia that Jesus describes.  Some feel this is a picture of Christ followers today in His Church.  If so, may we grab the truth of the following words, “I know your deeds.  Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have kept My word, and have not denied My name.”

Fellow Christians, may we daily walk through life seeing it as an open door for ministry.  Living to the praise and honor of the name of Christ (not like the World or our flesh wants us to, but as Christ deserves us to).  May we, with His boldness flowing through us proclaim the love and truth of His gospel which saves, changes, equips and leads.  May we understand though weak in and of ourselves we have the power of the Holy Spirit dwelling within us to be and do what He has set before us.  May each one of us be found steadfastly enduring through life and it’s trials until He calls us home.

Have a great day friends and may the Church of Jesus Christ in our land awake & throw off the complacency that is plaguing us to represent Him as we should!

Yours for His glory,

Doug
