“Take a moment with me!”, Pastor Doug’s Devotional, January 4, 2017

Dear Friends,

Please take a moment with me at the beginning of this New Year and ponder the Apostle Paul’s words from Philippians 1:27-30. The long term motivation and personal ramifications for our life as we strive to live out this truth can be astounding and make a huge difference personally, in the church we attend and in our sphere of influence around the land.

“Only conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ, so that whether I come and see you or remain absent, I will her of you that you are standing firm in one spirit, with one mind striving together for the faith of the gospel in no way alarmed by your opponents–which is a sign of destruction for them, but salvation for you, and that too, from God. For to you it has been granted for Christ’s sake, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake, experiencing the same conflict which you saw in me, and now hear to be in me.”

When each of us strive within our own heart and then together to:
-Be Unified in Christ,
-Unified with ‘one purpose,’ to glorify Him through the spreading of the gospel by using our individual talents, abilities and gifts,
-That we are Unified with one vision (Christ said it best, “to go into all the World”)

Pondering…….

“Lord may each of us who read this to conduct ourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ!”

Blessed New Year to you all,

Doug
