Our worship service begins at 10:00 a.m. each Sunday at our church facility, 33rd and I Streets (3311 Avenue I), in Kearney. Sunday School begins at 9:00 with opportunities for all ages. Check out a variety of ways to be involved through Missions, Youth, Men’s or Women’s Ministries, or Life Groups.
It is our prayer and purpose to help people grow closer to Jesus Christ. If you are looking for a church home, or have questions about who Jesus Christ is, we want to serve you in any way we can.
Church History: Living Faith Fellowship (LFF) is a non-denominational church that seeks to inspire and encourage each person to glorify Christ. Kearney, Nebraska, surrounded by agricultural and recreational land, is the county seat of Buffalo County and home to 30,000+ residents with many businesses and the University of Nebraska at Kearney.
Living Faith Fellowship began in the summer of 2012, in a home, and branched off from the Cornerstone Berean Church; the church next met in the Merryman Theatre. In 2014, a congregation from Wellspring Church, (formerly First Christian Church-Disciples of Christ) graciously offered their building due to declining attendance. This church had many faithful servants with its roots going back to 1874. The present facility was built in the 1970’s. All members joining LFF attested to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agreed to live under the authority of the Constitution and the Articles of Faith. Church attendance is about 150 with an even blend of men and women. Majority of members/attenders are in the 40-65 age range; about 22% are 20-25 years old.
The recent death of our pastor has launched us on a quest for a man to take up the mantle of leadership. We have a pastor search committee working on this and are praying daily that God bring us the right man. One of the most important pillars of LFF is “Love for the least, last, and lost.” This pillar is reflected in the ministry, mission commitment, and decision making of the church.
